Resort: 636 m a.s.l. >>The town of Guttaring is a market-town with approx. 2000 inhabitants, several local guest houses. Extensive hiking possibilities in the wooded surroundings. 4 km away is the town of Althofen with its historic town centre and largemedicinal baths. Friesach is 12 km away and, like no other town, is stuck in its medieval origins. The town wall defences comprising a town wall and moat, castle, churches and monasteries and a variety of small artefact relics make the whole town a piece of artwork in itself and invite you to a journey into the past. Important, old city with 5'500 inhabitants, 40 km north from Klagenfurt. In the resort: bar, disco, concerts. Access: railway station in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Klagenfurt (KLU), Graz (GRZ). Worth seeing: all year round knights' games.
