Our first B&B experience was not good... A guest from Kandern, Not Applicable does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2017 This was our first time renting an air B & B. We were disappointed. It was not clean and this made it very uncomfortable for us. We had to wash the dishes before we used them. The bathrooms were very dirty. There were a lot of dead bugs and spider webs... One bed did not have a top sheet and it was hard to get it warm enough and then hard to regulate the warmth. Some heaters did not work. Some lights did not work. There was a tree branch leaning on the electrical lines outside...We gave a list of things that need to be fixed and cleaned before the next visitors come. The rental company was very sorry and gave us a discount which we were thankful for was disappointing to have this experience. |

okay Rebecca J. from Lyons, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2017 House was good. Did not know it had as many steps as it did. Not suitable for disabled person like me. Toilet handle was broken when we got there, a pain to use. The picture is good but doesn't show how difficult it is to get to the beach below. We assumed beach would be closer. Very hard to find the house as directions were inadequate. Property Manager Response: Response from Tara Property Management South Thank you for your comments. Thank you for recommending the location that you stayed at. We are sorry that it wasn't a perfect fit, but we hope that we can find a location that better suits your needs next time. |

family trip A guest from Lynden, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2016 We love Whidbey Island so wanted a place that our kids and grandkids could enjoy as well. Everything was great, except we did not take firewood with us. The lower floor heats up very slowly, so a fire in the winter would have been perfect.Next time we'll know. Property Manager Response: Response from Tara Property Management South Nice to hear you had a great time with family on Whidbey Island. Thanks for your review. |

Fantastic View @ 123 Mutiny Bay Cherri S. from Duvall, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2016 The view was awesome. My husband loved watching all the ships coming back and forth. The house clean and kitchen well supplied. This house is close to three other homes so we were awakened two out of four mornings to lawn mowers, construction and loud barking dogs. If you are an early riser, this place is perfect! Property Manager Response: Response from Tara Property Management South We're so glad you enjoyed the view of the water and of the ships, and that the house was clean and that the kitchen was well supplied. We apologize, there is currently construction going on near there right now, but it is typically a nice, quiet spot. Thank you for your review! |

Mutiny Bay Waterfront House A guest from Issaquah, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2016 Very good place with a excellent view. Good living room and outside deck. One suggestion is - The rooms had lots of dust and they could have done a better job in cleaning the house and towels. Property Manager Response: Response from Tara Property Management South We're so glad you enjoyed the view, the living room, and the deck! So sorry for the dust and the towels. We will pass that suggestion onto the cleaner. Thanks for your review! |

Whidbey Island vacation Michael B. from Maple valley, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2015 The house we had was perfect for our large family vacation with 3 generations of family coming. We kept busy up there, mainly crabbing along Whidbey Island's eastern shore. |

Great Location Reviewed by: Don F. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 The location was great and the home was very spacious. Loved having the spacious upstairs deck to relax on. Great views of the Sound through the trees. Very quiet and peaceful. The upstairs kitchen really wasn't stocked at all, though there was a bit more downstairs. The water pressure in the entire house was not great, including the kitchen sink. I think the house overall could use some updating, but it was about as expected price wise for the condition. |

Family time A guest from Blaine, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2015 This is a great vacation property for a large group. We did find some spiders making webs and in the beds but other than that it was clean. The path to the beach is not good - made for goats and needs some upkeep. Pots and pans could use an update for the price of the rental. No fire pit - that is a shame for a beach cabin. |

Ebb Tide House 8/2/14-8/10/14 Janice M. from Edmond, OK recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 Had a very good time overall. Great location and scenery. Plenty of space for everyone. Very nice setting. Secluded and fairly private. Kids had a great time playing around the property. Perfect amount of space for 2 families to not step on each other's toes. View from the downstairs living room is spectacular and could sit there looking out for hours. Although I don't feel any of the below observations lowered the quality of our stay, or were worth complaining about, but I feel you might want to be aware of them, since you are asking for feedback: 1. toilet flush handles were loose and fell off frequently. 2. The downstairs portion of the house had a dank, moldy, not so fresh smell. Ceiling fans would help alleviate this I believe. 3. water leek above master downstairs bedroom causing mold and rot on the ceiling. 4.some light fixtures /bulbs broken or damaged. 5. putrid fish smell in kitchen downstairs upon our arrival. 6. House was not fully stocked with Toilet paper and Paper towels. Also the propane tank for the BBQ was empty. 7. Not much in the way of kitchen/cooking equipment. The one thing that did lower the quality of our stay was the lack of internet. I was planning on working from the house but ended up needing to drive to Langley to get work done. Tara management did an excellent job trying to help us with this, and I understand they are sending us a refund for the internet we did not have available to us. Very nice and easy to deal with. |

weeeeeeee Reviewed by: Rachel S. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2014 This place was perfect for my 6 friends and I. We all had a room to sleep in, and we were able to all get together and socialize in the living area downstairs. We didn't even use the upstairs kitchen and patio, even though it had spectacular views. The only things I didn't like were the 11 am check out time, the room that everyone had to walk through to get to the downstairs living room, and a few spiders. These were minor issues, but this place overall was awesome. We will be coming back! |

Great location and view, dated and dirty property. David N. from Fort Collins, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 Other then dated and dirty you would think in a place that see's as much rain as the north west does, that the parking and path leading to the property would at least be covered in rock as not to be muddy and slick. There were no screens on the windows and this was a problem because the house smelled so musty the windows needed to be open to combat the smell but with the windows open the bugs then had free reign of the house. Allot of small things added up to a subpar experience. |

Beautifully Located Vacation Home Louise P. from Wooster, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013 It's a terrific place for a family gathering, especially the downstairs with its large room and great views. Kitchen could be better stocked, but that's minor. We would stay there again. |

Lovely wooded setting w/a beautiful view! Gina H. from Renton, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2013 We had a large group and rented both the large house and cabin. Great to have the homes share the same property, yet there was total privacy between them. The decks on front of homes both had terrific views. We especially liked watching the freighters and Clipper go by. Access to beach was quick, but a little steep and narrow. Not bad for the average person. Half the beds were in terrible shape, the other half were great. Some maintenance issues w/the large house and there's nothing fancy about these places. Upstairs kitchen was not really functional, which was disappointing! Overall, we had a great stay though and would probably come back again. Property management company was great to work with and properties were very clean. |

waterfront? A guest from American Fork, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2013 Went to go on the beach (that they had just had a big party on the night before) and was told we couldn't because of the wild life they were trying to save. I understand that but there was a section roped off just for that. So just kind of bummed about that. |

ebb tide lane house Ashley B. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 the rental property was perfectly nice, about on par with what I expect from a rental house. everything was clean, they had good knives (always a plus). It was listed as 4 bedrooms, which may be a strech--it has 3 bedrooms, and 3 living areas with bed/pull out options. The greatest part was the amazing view above the bluff. But I would make sure that visitors know that the path to the beach is pretty treachorous, not great for older folks. |

Ebb Tide House review A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 All was fine with the exception of the front door , where the lock was dysfunctional and the clothes washer was broken......location was ideal and everyone ahd a wonderful time. Property Manager Response: Response from Tara Properties Inc. Apologies to the renters about the lock. Since has been fixed! Washing machine is also brand new, but had some issues after install and has been resolved. |

Great Deck and View - House So-SO Donna P. from Palo Alto, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2012 This is a very interesting house that would work well for larger parties or multiple families. We arrived about 20 minutes earlier than check in to find the housekeeper still there and vacuuming. He was very accomodating and let us in and told us he'd be gone shortly. Before leaving he told us the drain in the bathroom was backed up and he'd called the management company. The management company took care of the drain problem quickly and efficiently. The deck and view were spectacular. Watching the ships on the Admiralty Inlet was the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately other things while not major just weren't so good. 1. The lock on the front door didn't work. You could easily just push the door open from the outside. It took about 20 minutes to figure out that you had to slam the door closed, jiggle the knob until it clicked, lock it from the inside and go out from a different door in the house. 2. As you entered the house there was a downstairs window that was absolutely filled with dead bugs. 3. The dishwasher upstairs was dirty all down the sides and on the top of the dishwasher. 4. There were dead bugs in the window slides and the windows were all dirty. 5. We were told the upstairs stove didn't work and to use the downstairs one. 6. Beach access available but definitely not easy unless you were a kid or a goat. Path was overgrown and not clearly definited. 7. Mattresses average at best. But back to the view -- absolutely wonderful from both the upstairs deck and the downstairs living area. Made up for all the other problems because we had great weather. Not so sure how happy I would have been had the weather been poor. Overall I would give this property 3.5 stars. We are serial remodelers -- this house has great bones. It could be spectacular with a little work and elbow grease. |

Great location A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2012 This is a nice sized, very basic cabin with a nice view and great beach access. Great views from the ample deck and basement living room. Kitchens are outdated but totally functional. Decor is older but funky in a fun way. |

christine kiely stay in langley 2011 Christine K. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2011 It was cozy and tucked away from the public which was so pleasant. The only thing was it smelt very strong of something musty. We opened all the doors and Windows and that fixed it for the most part. I definitely plan to stay here again in 2012 if possible. |

AWESOME views and access to beach A guest from Bellevue, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in April, 2011 The condition of the house (old and stale smell, bottom floor bathroom has poor drainage, ran out of toilet paper) was only a slight nuisance. The beauty of the view, the ease of access to the beach behind the house and the overall quaintness and secludedness of the area made up for all of those things. The house had spectacular views and PLENTY of space to sun around and do activities in. Overall, great place to stay although I would have like the drainage problem to be fixed before we got there. |

Beautiful view and great for family get togethers... Merry S. from Yakima, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2009 We have stayed at this property before, a few years ago, so we knew it could accomodate all of us parents, kids and grandkids. However, we were told it would sleep nine. This was including the sofa bed and futon. But there was no sheets provided for these beds, only blankets. It is kind of "icky" to sleep with blankets only (when you don't know who used them before you). It would have been nice to have clean sheets. And I would have brought some myself, if I would have known that I needed to.Other than that, we enjoyed our visit.Oh...for your information...the upstairs toaster did not work, so we switched it with the downstairs one provided and used it instead. |
