Off the beaten track Ray from Edinburgh, Stayed for 0 days in October, 2012 We deliberately chose this apartment because it was away from the main tourist area of Florence and had a small yard at the back where we could sit out for meals. It is in a residential area, but you can reach shops, bars, restaurants and a market within ten minutes walk. A nearby frequent bus into the city centre takes about 15 minutes. The apartment was clean and had most things we wanted. It was quiet, except for the night the council came to empty bins and clean the streets at midnight! Apartments Florence were very good to deal with, even recovering from a misunderstanding which was partly our fault. I would use them again. One word of warning about Florence: no guide book tells you about the mosquitos. We had nets over the window and two electronic zappers - but still they bit. Go prepared! |
