Excellent value, fabulous location Karen Anthony from Burke, Virginia, Stayed for 0 days in September, 2011 We arrived late at night exhausted, cranky and skeptical that the smaller apartment we were given would equal the larger one we initially booked (under repair, it was not quite ready when we arrived). As others have mentioned, you always expect to be ripped off when you travel so we were on guard and terse. I'm surprised and grateful Lorenzo was as patient and kind with us as he was! Our apartment truly was tiny by american standards but impeccably clean by anyone's standards. The location was both convenient and awe inspiring. Number 20 Via Pinzochere is just one block from Santa Croce, final resting place of many notable figures, including our personal favorite, Michelangelo. And had we had been there just 500 years earlier (give or take), we'd literally have been his next door neighbors! We found the apartment to be an excellent value--far more affordable than a hotel and way, way more fun because these are real Italian apartments with all their quirks and charms. The Wi-Fi was reliable and very much appreciated. Many people have commented on the kindness and helpfulness of Lorenzo and his colleagues. It is absolutely true. We were able to relax and really enjoy our week because we sensed that had anything gone terribly wrong, there was someone in our corner we could turn to for advice.
