If you're tired of the city but don?t? want to waste a minute this two bedroom, two bath home with sleeping loft is a convenient drive to the area towns of West Jefferson and Boone, the community of Todd, the historic New River, the Blue Ridge Parkway, area shops, restaurants, galleries and easily accessible year round.
A tree lined country road leads to this old-fashioned log cabin tucked in a forest of towing trees and blossoming rhododendrons. Inside, cozy furnishings are centered around the antique hearth, start a fire and enjoy it?s gently murmur while you rest your worries away. The open kitchen, living, dining area is remindful of the old style, one room cabins. The living room offers a comfortable sleeper sofa. The main level master suite features a restful queen size bed, private full bath and wooded views from the rich combination of weathered wood and glass. The upstairs offers an additional bedroom with full size bed, sleeping loft with full size futon and full bath. The covered porch is perfect for an evening BBQ or enjoy the open deck with hot tub.

Absolutely Splendid! A guest from Asheboro, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 I couldn't begin to describe the comfort of this cabin. I felt completely relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! I came the first of April and it had snowed so I had to park at the bottom of the road and walk up to the cabin so in the colder months I would suggest 4 wheel drive. Perfect Getaway Nathan D. from Randleman, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2013 Arrived to nearly a foot of snow and did need 4x4. The roads were quickly scraped and our friends had no problem getting there that afternoon in a car. The cabin was perfect and the dogs had plenty of room to roam. There are other cabins in sight but they are not real close. The view isnt the best but its due to all the tall trees. We had plenty of fire wood that was wetgetting from thethe snow. We laidare it on the harth to dry then really enjoyed in the rock fireplace. The hot tub well perfect. Would not reccomend the futon or pull out sofa for adults but the kids loved them. The wood steps to the upstairs are not slick even with socks so take your shoes off and enjoy. We are already looking at coming back to the same cabin this spring. We had a tour of ASU for our son and wanted to make it a short vacation as well. No complaints really at all - could use a more comfy sofa and a little better lighting over the stove for cooking. We prefer a firmer mattress (downstairs bedroom), and the sofa was uncomfortable. We also prefer a long range view instead of this woodsy setting (perfect if that's what you want). Would be nice to have internet and cell phone service, and the address definitely needs to be marked clearer, especially for after dark arrivals. I would highly recommend this cabin. There is no A/C so you sleep with the windows up & considering that it was a mile or so off the road my kids were scared. The view left something to be desired.
