Seclusion at Road's End is a wonderful 3 bd/3 ba cabin that is literally at the road's end. Situated on about 2 acres, the property around the cabin is fenced in with split rail and square wire to help keep the pups or the kids in the yard. The pond is stocked with bass, carp and catfish for your fishing pleasure (catch and release please) and the frogs will serenade you in the evening. There are 2 comfortable king bedrooms... the loft level master bedroom features a private porch and bathroom with jetted tub and walk-in closet. The lower level bedroom is a great place for the kids with 2 twin beds. The kitchen has all new stainless appliances, full size washer and dryer and large pantry. Kick back in front of the fireplace in the living area or hang out on the front porch in one of the rockers overlooking the yard and pond. When you are ready to play, the pool table and board games await you on the lower level. Road's End is convenient to Blue Ridge and McCaysville for shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Seclusion at Road's End is Well Named A guest from Chamblee, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2012 The cabin is even nicer than the pictures indicated. The one small disappointment was that the listing said that there were gas and charcoal grills on the property but I could only find the gas grill. I'm partial to charcoal, but if that's the worse thing to happen during our stay then I'd say it was a success! I really liked the fact that you couldn't see any of the other cabins from pretty much anywhere on the property. It really gave you the feeling of tranquil solitude. We had nice walks throughout the area under canopies of trees, and we enjoyed the pond in our backyard and fightingtown creek nearby. This cabin is not far from Mercier's Orchards and the downtown shops of Blue Ridge. Also, if you like to fly fish, there are plenty of trout streams within a 15-30 mins. drive. Nice property in need of professional care A guest from North Miami Beach, Florida does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 The cabin is VERY nice, well equipped with a nice flow on its design. It has all you need and even more; pool table, hot tub, decks, pond? The problem we experienced was the property was infested with wasp and wasp nests. My youngest son (6yrs old) was stung by a wasp less than 1 minute after we arrived from a 14 hr trip from Miami. That was our welcome! There were wasps inside the cabin as well. The cleaning crew had left a wasp killer spray bottle on the hand rail of one of the decks (a sign that the problem existed prior to our arrival). The property manager failed to do a through walk thru prior to our arrival to have the issue taken care of. We had to be relocated to another cabin for 2 days. We returned to the original cabin since the property manager told us the issue had been addressed; just to find the problem still existed. Long story short, we got to the cabin on a Sunday and the exterminator showed up on Thursday afternoon, so we had a pest free cabin for 2 days! The cleaning is questionable (dusty floors and furniture) and the hot tub had WAY too much chlorine (the cloths we used to go in came out a lighter color). I believed with better care it?s a magnificent cabin to stay. If you get to enjoy the deck, pond, etc. without the fear of getting stung you can really have a lot of fun?
