This house was the best so far! Clean, large, open. Smelled new when we walked in...like the carpets were just cleaned or something. Just a couple houses from beach access. Very safe area. Walking distance to bike/golf cart rentals, restaurants, shops, bike path. Beautiful pool and pool area. Only complaint is that the pool was a bit cold...probably because it is in the shade most of the day... Too cold for our 5 yr old and 2.5 year old to get in to. A couple of the adults jumped in for a few minutes. Would be nice to have the option to heat the pool! Still a great house! Large House easily held our extended family A guest from Jackson Heights, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2012 We rented this house for our family of four and some extended family while we were on Edisto for a wedding. The house held all of us easily. The two living rooms and private bathrooms made it more relaxing then we thought possible. My only complaint was that the rugs were a little dirty and the comforters were unwashed so I had to wash them all when we arrived. Also, the pullout couches are not a great quality so were very uncomfortable. Other then that we were very happy with the house and the location. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 We were lucky to find this house and had a great time lounging by the pool and walking to the beach and the nearby shops. We wanted to nail it down for next year but the owner's moving in, so what can ya do. We had very few gripes about the house, but a big one is the water quality. It looks like an RO system is in place, but I'm not sure it was working (it had a bird's nest built on it, for one thing). The fridge filter should be replaced once a month too, given the Edisto water situation.The coffeemaker had to be replaced, which Atwood did as soon as we called. The front porch needs some furniture! It's a great place for sitting late in the afternoon. The pool was top notch, clean and shady, with nice chairs around. Some of the sliding door handles need attention. Routine maintenance type things. Highly recommend this property - wish we could rent again! The kitchen was very accomadating and well stocked. The view from the dining room and all of the decks was excellent. The large yard gave us room to play ball and toss a frizby without having someone right beside you. The lot is a great size. We also enjoyed the crabbing that you could do from the back yard and often at breakfast we watched the fish in the lake behind the house. I would recommend this lovely home to anyone.
