CURRENTLY BEING REMODELED - Traditional Edisto beach cottage just steps away from the ocean. Bring everyone down as this house can accomodate the entire family. Enjoy the large sunroom as you enter for kicking back and the set up is perfect for the kids as there is a space allocated for sleeping (2 Singles). Enter into the large Living/Dining/Kitchen combination room for evenings in and famiy time. Two bedrooms and 1 bathroom are on either side of the great room so everyone can have a little alone time as well. For the one that needs some peace there is an additional sleeping area (1 Single) behind the kithchen. Enjoy the sun deck for dining outside or just taking in the Edisto atmosphere. Come on down and turn into an Edisto "Slowpoke" and let your worries drift away.

Stayed for 5 days in July, 2011 Since we decided at the last minute to take a vacation we were thankful to find this house at an affordable price. The longer we stayed the more disappointed we were with the house. Convenience to the beach was excellent!! Rooms were painted nicely. Lights out in kitchen and den. Dishwasher was nasty looking, dryer was VERY noisy. Ceiling was peeling in den and kitchen, paint on paneling was buckling. Rug in den needs to be replaced. Back steps need to be cleaned. ok but not great A guest from Gunnison, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 This property is ok but needs lots of updates and a good thorough cleaning. The windows are very old and so dirty you cannot see out of them. The 2 bathrooms have windows in the showers with no coverings. Could be a very nice rental with a few updates.I did love the outside shower with hot and cold water. The location is great. Slowpoke... Reviewed by: Bethany L. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2010 My husband and I enjoyed our time at Slowpoke the week of Thanksgiving 2010. We orignally selected Slowpoke because we didn't know exactly how many family members would be coming and Slowpoke sleeps 14. The other reason we selected Slowpoke was because we loved the picture of the the large family dining table. The kitchen is huge and includes a double oven which is great when cooking for a lot of people. The electric burners take some adapting as they are not level so if using that part of the stove, just know that it takes some getting used too. We enjoyed our walks on the beach each morning and got to know some of the permanent neighbors as well.Overall, we enjoyed our time and would come back again. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2010 we were told this would be ocean view property but it wasn't. the unit itself was about to fall apart. The vacuum cleaner didn't work nor did the dishwasher and the bed gave me a sore back. We called the night we arrived to get the wireless access code & no one returned our call until the following Tues. after we had already left the unit. The only thing going for this unit is the location, we liked the convenience of the beach access.
