Inn Difference A guest from Williamston, SC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 We stayed at this property over spring break. I was pleasantly surprised with the location and layout of the house. The house was well stocked with everything you need for a week and I would not hesitate to rent it again if it weren't for one little problem...the next door neighbors.The next door neighbors own their home and are there most weekends. I truly feel for the neighbors across the street who are full time residents. There was a constant stream of teenagers partying until the wee hours of the morning...many underage. This went on every single night that we were there, even in the cold and rain. We had items stolen from our carport and while we cannot prove they were involved, we could hear them very close to the house in the middle of the night on several occasions. There was supposedly an adult present but that was either not true or she should have been put in jail for allowing underage teens to drink and carry on past mid-night.We called the police and they rode by but didn't seem to want to do anything about the situation. We figure they don't want word to get out that Edisto is anything less than a family oriented vacation spot. I feel horrible for the folks with this house because it really is an nice place at a reasonable price. I loved that there was not kitchen cabinets all locked up and that there was a nice pantry. I don't like a messy house and because the owners kept their things downstairs there was room to put everything away and keep things tidy!!!The outside shower was GREAT!! I hesitate to write such a great review bc I want to be the one who gets to rent it again!!!! Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 we enojoyed our stay very much! the only thing i think would have made it better would have been the cleaning. It was not very clean at all. There were spider webs everywhere and the kitchen was not very clean. We ended up doing a lot of the cleaning. But overall it was a good stay and I would stay again. Nice house but could use some TLC A guest from Salisbury, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2010 House was in overall acceptable condition. Cleanliness was not good...lots of dust, dirt and trash on the floor and under beds, cobwebs, etc. Paint is showing its age. The mattress in the master bedroom is worn out. Good for the price. Joanne O. from Kewaunee, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2009 We've stayed at many houses on Edisto and have our favorite but it wasn't available. This one had a nice Kitchen and layout and the furnishings were fairly nice. But it could use some more decorating- add more pictures etc, touch up the paint & trim, and supply dressers in the 2 bedrooms. (Only the Master had a dresser). The location is fine, about 5 minute walk to the beach. There is no view and it's in the jungle so we did have to deal with watching out for big spiders. The spiders kept to themselves and we did not find any in the house. The porch was furniched nicely and was good for rocking and some quite time. There were a few rouches (we heard they were around this time of year.) This house is definitely priced right for the amenities and location and not having a view. You could not open it and we had to use to backdoor until a friend of ours came by and had a tool to fix it with. Except for the floor being dirty when we arrived the house was overall nice.
