Pricey, but great view A guest from West Carrollton, OH does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 Bathrooms could be a bit nicer, the beach and ocean are right outside the back deck which is very nice, it is a very peaceful and quiet location, however because of that it takes around 50 minutes to an hour to get to a decent sized town. Corrigan Chad and Brooke H. from Clarksburg, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 I have rented this house 3 or 4 times over the years and have never had any problems. This year though, we encountered a HUGE Palmetto bug problem and animal urine smell throughout the house, esp. by the kitchen door. I know its end of peak season but I felt like the house was not up to its normal full potential. I don't blame Atwood at all...I blame the cleaning crew for not reporting these issues. I really doubt that while "cleaning" in between guest departures, they have never noticed these things. The bugs could have been sprayed for in a day and taken care of (something we had to endure during our visit). Disappointing for us. There were even stains on the mattress pads which washed right out...something that they should have already done before we got there. I still love this house, but think that Atwood should really review the quality of work that they are paying their cleaning crews for. Mainly for its location and floorplan. Small, but just right for our needs. But this year it was so much better, having been redecorated and updated in every way! We love it! My only suggestions are to fix the sliding glass door in the master bedroom so it locks (a guy came during my visit & got the door to at least open this time but it wouldn't lock). Also put drapes that you can close on the front & side doors, & in the master bathroom. Could've used some potholders in the kitchen. Also the shower door needs fixed so it doesn't pour water out on the floor when you get out of it. Overall, the new upgrades-paint, windows, countertops, kitchen sink, mattresses, bedding, lamps, new couch coverings,drapes, dishes- were soooo needed. I brought linens but there were not enough blankets to cover the beds and sofa bed described in the listing. The check-in packet from the realtor did not include the street address, which made it very difficult to find in the dark. All things that could be easily fixed, and I hope the realtor will address these problems. Great property for a couple Chuck D. from Columbia, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2010 This is the perfect property for two who want to get a beachfront cottage at Edisto. It's just the right size, especially compared to the much larger cottages suitable for larger families. The only problem - others have also found this jewel and this has made the Corrigan a very hard-to-reserve property, especially during the summer. Amazing View of the Ocean from every window. I just loved thr kitchen on the beach side, this is the first time I stayed in a Marsha S. from Honea Path, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2010 The sliding glass door on beach side was tooo hard to open to sun deck,deck was wonderful. The glass was exposed on deck side, almost impossible to close. Also I found large roach type bugs in the kitchen. Unit needs to be sprayed for this problem. Location of the unit was perfect and view of ocean amazing. Quick walk to look for shark teeth. Stay was great, as usual. This was the third time we have stayed there. The place is perfect for three people. James H. from St. Louis, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2009 We have stayed at this location several times before and have seen it go down hill over the last few years. The owners have apparently made no effort to keep up with the overall condition of the place. The house is now severely dated and in desperate need of a major spruce up.
