259 Driftqwood Villa Douglass K. from Asheville, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 We were aware of the fact that it was 3 stories but that became a challenge for us as the week progressed. Although there were only 2 of us + our dog, this villa would not have been comfortable for another couple (the loft was tiny and up spiral metal staircase). The location was convenient to everything Edisto has to offer, the beach, restaurants, the golf course, etc. We would probably opt for a ground level unit next time. 259 Driftwood A guest from Ewing, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2011 A very nice location, gated community, near the golf course and Wyndham Resort activities area. Third floor, so be prepared to climb. Nice porch overlooking the golf course. Outdoor furniture is very poor. Unit was not, by any means, spotless. There were two very nasty stains on the carpet, the shower curtain and curtain rod were dirty and rusted. The toilet ran constantly (even after jiggling the handle) and taking a shower involved standing in ankle deep water cause it drained so slow. Someone had sprayed the unit with some fragrance but it was used more as a odor disguise than as a complement. There was no remote for the bedroom unit and we had to use two remotes to get the living room TV to work. Nice but too many stairs A guest from Simpsonville, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2011 I loved the high up views from this little villa in the sky but getting to it and taking everything my husband and I had up there was too much trouble I would definatly recommend someone with a good pair of knees and a passion for stair climbing to this place overall it was nice the wood paneling on the gently sloped ceiling and around the fireplace really set this place off and its dog friendly, I own two dogs but it was our anniversary and didn't want the hassel of dragging them along. I think the maintenance crew needs to address the 2 huge stains on the carpet in the 'den' and I think they also need to have someone who will move the furniture to vacuum up the pet hair there was layers of pet hair under anything moveable fortunately we always carry a vacuum with us for cases like this there was also sand on the little ottoman I think from ppl not washing off their feet. Its a great place for couples I wouldn't recommend children or older folks and be sure you have a young strong legged dog too! Location isn't all that great either its quite a distance from the beach but its quiet back there in that little corner it is close to a pool and security is always making their rounds so you feel safe wilst taking your vacation!Also Kelly was the one who helped us get our place she's very nice and very informative/helpful so if you want someone nice booking your stay be sure to ask for Kelly shell get you in a nice place!Thanks yet again Atwood we have been booking with Atwood for 2 years now and many more to come! Perfect for a trip to Edisto James H. from Greenville, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2010 Property was great use of space. Located in Wyndam which is good. The cleaning crew could have done a better job before we got there, but we pulled out the vaccuum and took care of it. We would definitely stay there again and Atwood has some of the best customer service anywhere. Would definitely recommend.
