Disappointing Stay! A guest from Russell, Kansas does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2012 We have stayed with Americana Resorts before and were very happy, this time not so much!! I feel they are a quality company and this was not entirely their fault. The condo owners need to spend some money before they expect to rent this unit out and have people pay money to stay here. The condo had a bad smell, like urine or maybe pets? The carpet was grossly dirty. There were numerous hairs in the bed, looking as if it had not been changed. Blinds on windows were broke, almost falling off, exhaust fans didn't work in bathrooms. Front door jam looked as if it had been kicked in? I would not recommend others renting until money is spent to improve, fix, upgrade and clean property. After a long day skiing you want to come back to a clean, enjoyable, comfortable place, not one where you are scared to touch things. Lake Haus B-14 Andrew N. from Peoria, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2012 We had a very good stay at Lake Haus (B-14). The property was well kept, stocked with all kitchen supplies we needed and provided a great view of the mountains. The property manager Jeff was friendly, professional, and available for anything we needed. The only things I would suggest to change are 1) clearer instructions on the location of the gas fireplace controls, which were hidden behind the TV armoire 2) updated electronics and 3) the upstairs toilet sometimes sticks, making it continuously flush- I had to fix this several times.
