Relaxing family vacation in the Shire Sandra S. from Amherstview, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2013 Would definately recommend, felt like coming home after a day out. Quiet community, relaxing. Stores close by for supplies etc. Parks, attractions and airport within 1/2 hour.Home was well furnished and clean. Gate and door lock worked beautifully. Information package was well laid out and answered questions. Internet was good. Nice to get up in the morning and make your coffee and have breakfast at home. Kitchen, eating area and great room all together so we could talk and see each other and the pool was just outside huge patio doors. The beds sounded a bit crunchy, not sure if that was the mattress or the mattress covers, comfortable and slept well, but our friends said when they rolled over they woke their partner up a couple times. Some of the pillows could use replacing, mine was starting to fall apart inside. Not sure about the garbage, there was no bin to take outside and the garbage men said it had to be in a bin, so we were unable to put it out and had two very full bags by the end of the week for the cleaners, we put lots of cans, bottles etc in also, as we did not see a recycle bin, not sure if they recycle there or not. Thanks for a great week. This was our first time staying in a home and really enjoyed it. It was a bit isolated but worth the drive. Only complain would have to be the pool/jacuzzi could have been warmer other than that I will definitely recommend this home to my friends and family and would love to stay here again. Nice house, poor booking and property management A guest from Greenfield, IN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 We had booked another house, but the house had been sold and was no longer available we were told. So they put us in this one. It was actually an upgrade from the previous one, so that was good.The house had only been patially cleaned when we arrived, and the property managers were there making sure it was cleaned. To their credit, they were very nice and tripped over themselves apologizing and offered the first night's stay free for our trouble. Well.... it never happened. They either forgot or just downright lied. We're still working on it. The property and neighborhood itself were very nice, however.
