But we didn't need one, we asked the guardian for information. The TVs are old, very poor signal and the internet signal was bad. Middle of the Road for D-4 Pete S. from Royal Oak, MI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 11 days in February, 2012 the overall property was nice and the other vacationers were great. Specific to our unit, we were dissapointed in a few things. The upkeep of the unit is lacking, (broken window that almost fell out when I opened it) the overall cleanliness of the unit is ok, but they cleaning crew lacks details. Corners, windows, bathrooms, it was an overall clean but not a complete cleaning of the unit, dirt and insects in corners and windows. It was hard to get help with the satilite/internet/phone which did not work for 5 days and I had to fix it, the phone to usa did not work the entire time as was advertised that it did. The location is great in that it's quiet, right on the water, with a pool/hot tub and small beach and dock (and dive boats will pick you up there). But, it is a ways from town - about a $15-20 taxi ride (9 miles). There is a bigger beach/lunch spot about a 15 min walk south - otherwise it's pretty isolated. Vista Bonita in need of TLC I Jim M. from Oakland, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2011 Our stay at Vista Bonita was a mixed bag: The location, of course is fabulous and the townhouse was tastefully furnished with very comfortable beds. We were pleasantly surprised by the large number of spices and condiments in the kitchen but disappointed by the lack of bottled drinking water and toilet paper on our arrival.We solved the water problem with a trip to Mega-- 20 km round trip-- luckily we had the rental car. TP arrived the next day. Having dealt with the water, we next dealt with the lack of web access by finding and resetting the modem and wireless router. While trying to air our the smell of fungus after arriving, we found a number of window cranks in need of adjustment. One second story window dropped out of the frame and threatened to break lose from its one remaining hinge. The showers while not obviously dirty, felt grimy. However, after our bath we were rewarded with a large number of luxurious towels. Between missing, broken and sometimes on, sometimes off bulbs, the lighting was a constant puzzle, which was not helped by the many, unlabeled switches. For a family of 5, the kitchen could benefit from a larger set of dishes and glasses and a set of mixing bowls. Clearly, the damage waiver fee has not been used to replace breakage.As for entertainment, there was lots of equipment, but the satellite TV bill appears not to have been paid-- so no TV reception, the VCR was inoperative as was the upstairs boombox.Like the townhouse, the property too could use some TLC. There were missing tiles around the pool, garbage cans notable for their absence and new paint would greatly improve the appearance of some of the buildings and garage area.So, the overall impression is one of owners once wealthy and with good taste having fallen on lean times. We would recommend that management take a more hands on approach as indicated by the lack of check in and check out. Loved our stay at Vista Bonita A guest from Kildeer, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2010 The pictures don't do it justice. We feel as though we discovered a wonderful secret. The town home was very spacious with high end everything. Our family of 5 was extremely comfortable. We opted for the cook service and that was amazing. Our cook Lucy was so kind and the food was fantastic. Our kids tried so many foods that they had never had before and loved it. Incredible vacation A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in February, 2010 We stayed at Vista Bonita in February 2010. We absolutely loved the place! The location was great, but you do need a rental car. The staff were friendly and helpful. The townhouse is well-decorated, had an in-room washer and dryer, beach towels, a/c, purified water available, and awesome deck. My favorite things about the place: dive boat picking us up on the private pier, well-appointed kitchen, great pool/surrounding property, and excellent maid service. The cons (these are all fixable issues): we had an issue with our purified water so we had to buy bottled water most of our time there, ground floor toilet didn't work well, bath tub had no hot water, pool/hot tub had temp and pump issues, and the phone did not work well enough to be useful. It was a truly great vacation and I would recommend Vista Bonita as well as stay there again!
