A WATER LOVER’S OASIS
The simply stunning Casa Laurie is nirvana for those who adore water in every form: Not only is it situated on the ocean within a community with two freshwater swimming pools, but it also features a lap pool on the private wraparound deck!
This two-bedroom condominium is located within the gated and elegant Residencias Reef resort community, just ten minutes south of downtown Cozumel and a world apart from anyplace else. Casa Laurie is the epitome of vacation paradise with comfortable rooms, adjacent beach and pool access, and incomparable ocean views.
Each of the condo’s bedrooms are artfully designed, and the adjoining baths are simply exquisite. The living room is open and inviting—and, best of all, has walk-out access to the impressive wraparound deck. There’s also satellite TV with several English-language channels in the lineup as well as free Wi-Fi, so you can keep up with news from home. Your hosts have also provided a washer and dryer, and maid service is included six days a week.
Your kitchen comes with everything you need to try your hand at replicating some of the amazing Mexican fare you'll come to discover--guacamole, pico de gallo, queso--or keep it simple with a little wine and cheese. Your coffee pot and microwave and all the other necessities are there for your exclusive use.
The grounds of Reef Residencias are immaculate—the gardens are lush and manicured, the pools are sparkling clean, and the private stretch of beach is pristine. All you have to work on is that tan, while you windsurf, snorkel, SCUBA dive, go fishing or take a dip in the freshwater pool. Grab a Margarita and take a moonlit stroll along the water’s edge. As a guest here, you also have access to the rooftop observation deck, where views of the ocean—especially at sunset—will leave you breathless.
Did we mention the freshwater pool? It bears repeating because there are actually two of them. The pool area also includes also a hot tub, SCUBA and snorkeling gear rinse tank, two outside showers, plus palm trees and palapas when you need a bit of shade.
A few steps down the charming paved pathway is the famed white-sand beach and multi-hued blue waters of the Caribbean, and you are welcome to enjoy all the amenities. You can take off on a SCUBA or snorkeling adventure—they’ll even pick you up at the nearby dock—or you can just body surf in the warm water and gentle swells that lap the beach. There are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat (some even deliver) or a cold drink.
A ten- to 15-minute drive away is downtown Cozumel, where you can walk along the oceanfront promenade for a bit of shopping or sightseeing. Restaurants, bars and vendors selling everything from homemade tacos to hand-crafted fabrics line the promenade, as well as duty-free stores and nice boutiques.
If you love water, you’ll be in your element at the lovely Casa Laurie in Cozumel.
