Lovely Provencal property in the heart of the Luberon.

L'Art du Temps is a charming little jewel situated in the golden triangle of the Luberon near to Gordes, Menerbes (10 mins), Bonnieux, Lacoste (20 mins) and 20 mins from St Rémy. Only 10 mins from the nearest main axe and highway.

This delightful property, nestled behind old stone built walls, invites you to enoy peace and quiet far from the maddening crowd and the Luberon Mountains provide shelter fom the whistling Mistral winds.

Over the last few years the owner has slowly added provencal decor discovered in antique fayres that blend in perfectly with the beautiful garden. The charming owner lives part of the year on the property but is rarely at home and has an independant entrance, he is virturally invisible to visitors. Guests are welcome to pick fresh tomatoes from his vegetable patch, or fruit from the fruit trees. Aromatic plants thrive happily amongst the poteries and ancient jarres, century old olive trees and bird cages belonging to the 19th century ornate the garden. A delightful mixture of old and modern.

The sumptuous pool can be lit up at night times and is great for cooling down near the pool house where a fully equipped summer kitchen and big stone table await you. The impressive stone bbq is great for cooking pizzas in and for grilling delicious meals and the shady aperitif corner is very comfortable and seats 8 easily. There is also a shower and WC near the pool area as well as a fabulous stone fountain for relaxing in after a hard days sighseeing. Very romantic and relaxing with garden furniture and sunloungers. The garden and summer kitchen provide a fresh, cool temperature at night times.

On entering the ground floor of this exquisite villa you will find a spacious long lounge with comfortable leather sofas and dining area with an open plan kitchen. Fully equipped with Laconche piano and american fridge. Dining table and comfortable lounge area with French doors that open out onto the shady terrace. There are two pretty double bedrooms with king size beds (that can be converted into two singles for children) and plenty of cupboard space, light and airy, cool and comfortable. One has bay windows that open out onto the pretty garden and pool with views over the Luberon Mountains in the background.

These two bedrooms share a spacious, pretty and practical bathroom with italien shower, bathtub, washbasin and separate WC. There is plenty of storage space for shopping and lovely dishes and plates, glassware and pans for cooking. There is also a separate laundry room equipped with washer and ironing facilities.

The house is decorated with beautiful antiques and numerous Provencal oil paintings. The owner, a stone scultpure artist, has created a haven of peace a wonderful spot for a holiday. This is the ideal spot for small families, couples, walkers or cyclists who wish to discover the Forest and national Park or for those who just want to relax and rest.

Ideally situated for visiting the Provence and Luberon, 10 mins from the nearest supermarkets and stores, weekly markets and 30 mins from Avignon TGV station.
