Resort: Castellamara del Golfo is a typical Sicilian old town with 14,000 inhabitants. The town is situated 65 km west of Palermo on the gulf of Castellamare. The town has a sulphur and sulphate mineral spring, a bathing beach, tennis courts nearby in the natural park of Zingaro which is worth a visit. An ideal place to visit historical and cultural landmarks such as Segasta with its Greek theatre, Trapani and Erice. The town lies on the edge of a rocky, deeply indented coastline with several small beaches and bays, not to mention the large beach at Guidaloca.
