Resort: Casciana Terme is approx. 35 km from Pisa, in a hilly region between the rivers Casciana and Era, fascinating countryside dominated by vineyards and century-old olive groves. It is one of the most important towns in Colline Pisane. It was probably founded during the Etruscan period, the town was already mentioned in the 9th century chronicles as "Castrum ad Aquas" which indicates a thermal spa town in those days.
