Pickett?s Landing in Carrabelle offers luxury and so much more. A 3 bedroom townhome. With a huge master suite, two large guest rooms and three full baths it has an open and fully equipped kitchen that adjoins the dining and living area, making this the center of social activity. The kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless steel GE Monogram appliances. Our private elevator makes unloading the car a snap. Inside our 5+ acre gated community you will find a walking trail and our onsite boat and trailer storage, complete with 24 hour video security. You will also have full access to all of our great amenities. Pool, and club house with a full kitchen, satellite TV, exercise room complete with treadmill, elliptical and cross train weight machine. The marina has a dock side gazebo, fish cleaning station and deep water slips with electric and water hook ups that can accommodate up to a 65 foot sport fish. Capture one of our breathtaking sunsets from the river gazebo or look for any of our native species, Osprey, Bald Eagles, and Otters. The boat house at the marina has a full kitchen, satellite TV, BBQ grill and large deck to entertain old or new friends and cook the catch of the day. From our marina it is just a short ride to the bay and gulf where unlimited fishing opportunities await you. Trout, Redfish and Flounder in the river, reef or on the flats. Go a little further to any of our numerous artificial reefs and you can tangle with grouper, red snapper, cobia, amberjack and more! In addition to the fishing there are incredible beaches reachable by boat or by car. Spend an afternoon and explore the tip of St George Island, Dog Island or take a full day to experience St Vincent?s Island and wildlife refuge. There you can look for the resident wildlife including the rare Red Wolf, Sambar Deer, White Tail Deer and more. This island was once inhabitated by native Americans so look sharp and you may just find evidence there today in the way of pottery and arrowheads.Back on land there are limitless choices. Day trip to Apalachicola, golf at nearby St James Bay or explore one of Carrabelle?s three museums. Other offerings include exploring the area by kayak or canoe up into Tate?s Hell on the New or Crooked River. Take the lighthouse tour that will show you the rich history of the area and the Crooked River, St Marks, St George, and Cape San Blas lighthouses. We met some very nice people that are permenant residents & also some visiting. The condo was super with an excellent view if the Carrabelle River & of the boat docking area. There were a few items that did not work properly at the condo but Dan was very helpful in seeing that these things were taken care of. We had 3 generations in one unit and everybody had enough room and privacy. The pool even had some toys and floats for the kids. The clubhouse was great and the grill was a hit. The $5 meals at Hog Wild and the shopping at The Brickhouse were an added bonus. When can we come back?????? Stayed for 2 days in April, 2011 Dan, The ice machine was broke at the boathouse.There was no hot water in the MBR shower on the wand. Also the handrail going up stairs at the first turn is loose/detached.None of this bothered us but just for your info. Thanks we enjoyed it and will be in touch next april for another stay.
