This 2-level unit features new hardwood floors, all new appliances/cupboards/counters in a redesigned kitchen, remodeled bathrooms top to bottom, tiled fireplace with gas insert, 40" LCD TV with Blue Ray with expanded cable and game ports, additional DVD for movies/games only, tons of movies, and washer/dryer. This property even has an espresso maker and High Speed Internet. You will also enjoy the convenience of the gas BBQ located on the patio balcony. Sleeps up to 8. Quiet and comfortable. Two bright bedrooms + spacious loft bedroom + 2 bathrooms (one stand-up shower, one tub). Bedrooms have new queen-sized beds; loft has 2 new fulls. Condominium complex amenities include swimming pool, 2 hot tubs, and a sauna for each gender. Play a game of Eight Ball on the pool table, or enjoy the spacious lodge. Lack of Supplies Jon A. from Meridian, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 Overall, I found this condo very comfortable and in good condition. It is a great location and we had a great time. However, there were a few things that made the stay somewhat negative. The furnace had problems for a few nights and eventually quit working. We had to use space heaters to heat the condo our last night (not fun with a one-year old). The upstairs toilet seemed to run for very long time periods. I?m not sure if there was something wrong with it or if it normally runs that way. It was very loud and woke me up when the guests used the restroom in the middle of the night. Also, the kitchen lacked normal cooking supplies, like spices and cooking oil. There was also a lack of supplies like toilet paper and paper towels. I was really surprised in how much we had to purchase from the grocery store. I?ve stayed in other Carnelian Woods condos before and this one was the least supplied. Again, we had a great time at this condo and I would return again. Property Manager Response: Response from First Accommodations The renter did experience some furnace issues, and we supplied them with space heaters immediately to ensure their comfort. The complex itself is nothing amazing but the pool, hot tubs and game room are very nice. Unfortunately, the pool/hot tubs close very early (7pm & 8:45 respectively). The nearby beach, Patton Beach, is small and rocky but the Carnelian Bay location, close to Tahoe City, King's Beach, Incline, etc. is terrific. The place is fantastic and well situated on the bay.We did run afoul of management. We accidentally got an extra parking pass. The way we were treated made it seem like we had broken something or robbed the neighbors. To top it off the parking lot was half empty for the length of our stay, on Labor Day Weekend.In the multiple interactions to resolve the issue, property management was very rude and heavy handed. This minor accidental infraction cause property management to refer to us as "The Gang of 9" for the rest of our stay. The way we were treated you would have thought we were a bunch of college kids, rather than the responsible adults we are. Still it was a good stay. Property Management could just lay off the throttle a little. Property Manager Response: Response from First Accommodations Unfortunately the homeowners association did not think kindly of the extra parking pass(es) that were given out by them. We attempted to intercede but we never received a phone call back from the renters after our messages. I brought four kids and found it to be nice, well maintained, and comfortable. My boys loved having all the board games and a few videos to watch. We also enjoyed the pool and rec center. Although Brent seemed very responsive to my inquires during the rental process, he did not inform us that there was ongoing construction at the resort and that a back hoe crew would be at work every day during our stay. Since he told me via e-mail during the reservation phase that we would be informed of any construction started prior to our occupation of the rental and did not do so, I would not recommend this rental company to anyone. There was construction going on every week day we were there and on one day the back hoe was working within ten feet of the entry to the condo. Regarding the condo itself, it was okay, tough, very dark and it needed a good dusting. Property Manager Response: We were not informed that there was any construction activity in the area. We certainly would have informed the customer or moved them to a different location had we been informed during their stay. DISAPPOINTED! Tom F. from Pacifica, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 11 days in July, 2009 On a positive note, the kitchen & baths were painted very nice. Decor was nice! The negative was NO vacant cupboard in the kitchen for our things. No dresser or space to put our things in the down. bedroom. The lamp for reading a book had no plug in the wall. We could not turn on the overhead fan without turning on the chandelier over the dining room table. We had no TV for 6 days of our 10 day stay, and we had childred with us! The manager did credit us one day which was nice. Filthy underware was left in three of the nightstand drawers. Who ever cleans should check a little closer.That's all folks! Property Manager Response: The cleaner did miss the drawers in the bedroom during the cleaning (prior renter left some items behind) and the TV issue was determined to be a problem with the cable coming into the townhouse. The earliest appointment was made with the cable provider and it was fixed on that day. However, someone was at the door within minutes of my contacting the manager the following morning. The heat went out again the same afternoon and someone immediately returned and fixed the problem so that we had heat for the rest of our visit. Thank you for being attentive and professional in helping to make our stay a delightful one. You live in one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the pleasure of visiting, and your people are so hospitable that I half expected you to have Southern accents!
