"2B by the Sea" is a great beachfront property. Located in the Dunes Club condominiums. 2B is located beachfront on a beautiful section of white sand on Cape San Blas Beach. This gorgeous, gated community. The unit is comfortably and beautifully decorated for your enjoyment. The condo has a large commercial elevator to get up to your unit and back down to the pool! There is pool with 2 outdoor showers. The pool is HEATED during the months of March, April and May (if needed)!The pool is between the unit and the beach, so you can watch the pool and the gulf at the same time. This low density, five acre development has a trailer/boat parking. There is a lighted tennis courts on the property.There is a large screen LCD TV located in the Den for evening movies or cable tv watching after a long day at the beach. A wall mounted LCD TV with a playstation2 game center is located in the bunkroom to keep the kids entertained. The PS2 also plays DVD's for the kids.This condo unit is very spacious and comfortable. It has a large balcony with great gulf front views. The entire condominium is on one level. It is on the second floor with a shared elevator for your convenience. The beautiful kitchen is fully-equipped so any cook will feel at home. The living area and master bedroom both overlook the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is tastefully decorated and the deck off the living room and master bedroom is enormous... perfect for reading the paper, enjoying sunsets, or having an outside meal with your guests.Cape San Blas Beach, located on the beautiful, pristine CAPE SAN BLAS, is home of the Saint Joe State Park, which was voted America's number one ranked beach featuring beautiful, white sand and emerald-green water. Nothing Complimentary.... A guest from Youngstown, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2012 There was a constant noise from the front of the building that was very loud. The elevator had a very strong oil odor that made you sick to your stomach when in use. This unit did not have one Sharp knife to book with and no kitchen hand towel/wash clothes. I think for what you pay for, you should at least get an extra roll of toilet paper. They should also offer one complimentary roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet paper and some trash bags. The dryer in this unit did not dry our clothes, it took 3 hrs for one small load of clothes. Overall, it was private and do-able. Lot's of personal touches that make this a step above the usual rental. Short walk down the boardwalk and you are on the beach. Beach gear provided as well as a spice box with most all your cooking needs are thoughtfully provided. Only flaws were broken dining room chairs and pool heater was out the whole week. Stayed for 11 days in October, 2010 The carpet in the unit had numerous spots(animal?) and smelled of pet urine when we arrived. Improved after airing and mopping the floors, but carpet was badly in need of cleaning. We have a dog and our house does not smell like this. Property Manager Response: Response from Coastal Joe Vacation Rentals I find it difficult to respond to reviews such as this, as I?m now forced to question my reasoning on what is ?the right thing to do? versus ?what will this cost me (and not just monetarily).? Here?s why:I will agree that the Guest was in the incorrect unit, and that upon discovering this, they were quickly moved to the correct unit next door? I personally helped them move and I paid for the cleaning of the incorrect unit (a decision which I?m beginning to regret). Unfortunately, we cannot understand how they gained access to the neighboring unit, as we do not represent the owners of that unit, and we do not have (and have never had) keys to it. While assisting them with the move, I attempted to unlock the door with the keys that we provided, which did not work.Secondly, the Guest indicates that they were told to go to the wrong unit: Aside from asking ?why would we do that?, I?m not sure to whom the Guest spoke with, as they arrived at 1:30a.m. (our office hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm), and our security log indicates no one was in the office at that time. The phone numbers provided in the Pre-Arrival and Arrival Packets are directed to our office, to my mobile phone, and lastly to my personal residence.Furthermore, the Guest Arrival Packet contains a map indicating how to get to the unit from our office. There?s little to no room for error on this? it?s only subject to one?s ability to read a map. Would have been nice if the property manager had given us the gate code to get in! Luckily another guest came along and shared it. Kids loved horseback riding on the beach. Pet friendly area. No cell reception made it tricky, but also kinda nice! Only one restaurant on the Cape; good food but surprised that there was only one. More choices in Port St. Joe or 23 miles to Apalachicola. Highly recommend Papa Joes for dinner and shopping at River Lily and the Snappy Turtle! I found the building in need of painting. The rails on the deck were chipping paint. The pool was very warm. I realize that t A guest from Cumming, GA recommends this property. How should we have asked them to leave our area. We say them several times go over to their condo and get drinks then bring them over to our pool.
