Stayed for 2 days in October, 2012 I purchased the gulf coast getaway for 2 to Palm island resort. i used my voucher for this past weekend Oct 12-14 2012. Our voucher included lunch and dinner for 2. we arrived at the villa as planned on October 12. On October 13, 2012 we left to do some sight seeing and proceeded to go to Rum Bay restaurant for our Lunch for 2. We arrived to the restaurant and were seated at a table in the back. Then we watched as many servers looked at us and walked past our table. Also there were at least 3 other customers who were Caucasian and who came after me and my husband and and as soon as they sat down the same server who walked past us immediately served these tables. After 20 minutes of sitting there we finally just walked out. The manager did come out once we were outside waiting for the bellhop to take us to our car and offered a appetizer but frankly this was too little too late. This affected my entire weekend. This was my anniversary weekend and it was ruined due to the treatment we received. I have never been so embarrassed i my life. My husband and I were both made to feel like outsiders and like we weren't wanted. Our 3-night stay at Harbour Town. A guest from Monroeville, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2011 We always enjoy staying at Harbour Town. In fact we had much rather stay here than on Palm Island. We use to stay on the Island but for the past 2 years we have stayed on the mainland. It is a much better view here and so much more convenient. The restaurant is next door and other restaurants close by and the grocery store near by and to top that off we were pleased with the price this time, very affordable. The views of the marina and intracoastal are spectacular from the living area and the bedroom. It was nicely decorated and everything was well maintained. She was very sick and might be near death. Palm Island personnel were so nice and accommodating to me. They gave me a wonderful price for a two night stay. I felt refreshed and peaceful when I returned to the villas after a stressful day at the hospital. It was clean and bright and the view was fantastic. Beautiful sunsets from the screened in patio. I had full access to the resort Island and to the pool. I am planning on returning there again whenever I go there to visit my relatives. I loved it!
