Villa Tenganan is located in Candidasa and boasts two storeys of comfort and privacy for that relaxing vacation.
On the top storey is a large bedroom with a king size bed,bedside drawers, a wardrobe including an electronic safe and a ceiling fan.
Also you will find the large living area with a ceiling fan which has two single bed size day beds for the extra guests or for just lounging about. There is a toilet, basin and extra wardrobe space in the bathroom.
Airconditioning is available on this level or just open the double doors and windows leading on to the balcony to experience the gentle breeze off the ocean..
Downstairs contains a huge living area with dining table, three piece lounge, tv/dvd for playing dvds available from the dvd library, indoor/outdoor bathroom with shower, toilet and beautiful garden courtyard. Also in the kitchen is a full size refridgerator, cutlery for six, microwave, toaster, 2 burner gas stove, a full range of cooking utensils and tea/coffee making facilities. Again this is airconditioned or take advantage of the breeze by opening the double doors and windows allowing the cross ventilation.
The internet is available at a minimal cost via a USB modem or the many cafes and restaurants have free WiFi.
The unique turtle shaped pool has a children's shallow end and landscaped waterfall.
Enclosed in the gated grounds are lush, tropical gardens full of colourful native plants including many orchids.
A gas BBQ is also available for your use.
Just a short stroll (100m) down the driveway opposite brings you to the beachfront area where you can swim or snorkel in the clear coral reef protected waters. You can also book a boat ride from the local fisherman to go to White Sand Beach or Blue Lagoon to snorkel in the crystal waters, or you may want to try your luck deep sea fishing, or just go boating or sailing and discover the breathtaking coastline.
Lots of fantastic restaurants and shops are literally minutes away along the main road of Candi.
For the more adventurous the area offers activities such as diving at world renowned diving sites directly in front and all along the coast, jungle trekking for all levels of experience, mountain bike riding, surfing at Jesri,and paragliding to list just a few.
The local traditional markets at Amlapurah are just a short drive away where you can barter for a fantastic bargain on just about anything.
While you are here you should visit the village that the Villa is named after i.e. Tenganan Village. It is approx 4km from Candidasa and is the best preserved Bali Aga (original Balinese) village, which is inhabited by descendants of its original villagers who still live according to their ancient traditions and ceremonies. In fact it is a living museum. When you walk between the houses it feels like being transferred into history. Many traditional old crafts, like geringsing (double ikat) woven cloth, egg shell painting and making lontar (drawings on bamboo slices) are still practiced.
All in all a stay at Villa Tenganan is a unique and charming experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful week. The Villa was beautiful and spacious, pool was amazing and exactly what we were after! Chris has been a fantastic help, given us some brilliant recommendations for restaurants, trips and arranged for us to participate in the ceremony at the temple on the mountain which we will never forget!
Alex and Komang were wonderful too, we went fishing with Alex and his brother, had a few massages from Komang, and even Alex's Dad! and they took us to the ceremony - felt very honoured.
We have the bug for Bali now and would love to visit Candidasa again! I'm sure if we do we will be in touch again to see if your little piece of paradise is available.
