Great outside space, 2 deck areas, one off of the dining room witha table and Gas BBQ and a 2nd extra large deck on the lower level with built in bench seating and 2 tables with chairs. Plenty of room to sit out, relax and enjoy the abundant wildlife. We had issues with the dishwasher (didn't clean the dishes, many of the lights (stairwell lights didn't work and that is a saftety issue. lights in bedrooms didn't work), 3rd bathroom leaked into a light fixture (light fixture was removed but water contined to drip to floor and hit you in the head if you were sitting on the toilet), insufficent toweling for number of bedrooms and guests, had to call for sheets for the hide a bed. It was advertised with a TV in each of the bedrooms - not true and if there was, they didn't work. There should be a TV in the main area as the room downstairs is very small and dark and not pleasant to be in. The house should be in proper working order before the next rental and we should be given a credit. Very unsatisfied with stay. There was no bed in the loft, it was in the game room and it was covered in stains and the mattress was from 1960. So I would say it slept 8 not 10. There were not enough towels for showering. Also the dishes were filthy and we were unable to clean them because the food was so caked on. The stairs to the beach were quite steap at some points and it was a little difficult to bring chairs and such down. The BBQ was also crusted with many layers of food. We definitely enjoyed our stay, and these things are just annoying which kept our stay average instead of great. This home was AMAZING! So much room for all of us to be comfortable. This house goes on and on with new surprises in every room! We had a few minor issues with things not working (portable heater in game room, and iPod docking station), and one night our oven would not start. We were also celebrating a bday that night and had plans to make a cake. When we couldn't get the oven to light, we called management. They sent someone right out to investigate the problem. When she couldn't figure out why it wouldn't light, she took our cake mix and baked the cake for us!!!!!! She returned a short time later with an amazing pineapple upside down cake as we had requested. This kind of customer service is a breath of fresh air. The only bad part was the serious level of depression that kicked in the day of our departure! We have already started planning a trip for next year it was so amazing here! The home was large and nice for teenage boys. Game room was a plus but missing some important game pieces. Decks were large with great views. Deck furniture sparce and not very comfortable. I love to cook and this kitchen could use a cleaning out and replacing and adding a few items. Would have been nice to have a small box of laundry detergent if only to use for washing towels mid week. We had a great time and the house was nice its just that it could be fabulous. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2010 Our 3-day stay was wonderful....fun with the family, beautiful (80 degrees) weather, delicious food and lots of fun. View from Osprey was lovely(ocean on one side and ranch next door)...had easy access to the beach trail. Osprey Retreat has plenty of room, has two dining rooms and the kids loved the Ski Ball Machine in the playroom. To make Osprey compare to other homes we've rented at Bodega over the years, a few items need to be corrected. The dishwasher did not clean or rinse the dishes even when a 2nd wash and 2nd rinse cycle were added. When we arrived, all the dishes in the cupboard had soap residue on them and had to be rewashed by hand before use. Silverware was extremely worn and the oven thermostat was at least 50 degrees off. No television in the main living room where most seating is located. Older tvs in the bottom floor bedrooms were not connected to the cable. Window/door screens are not in place (they are in the garage)so when window/doors are open, insects enter the house (explains the dead flies laying around when we arrived). It wasn't very clean, leftover food in frig from previous renter, carpets need cleaning, cobwebs, no battery in "battery operated hands free" garbage can, tv remote batteries dead, very few tv channel options, no channel guide or stereo/ipod instruction sheet, dishwasher detergent old "watery". We hand washed nearly every piece before using because the dishes/pans were greasy or not very clean. Unusual that no vacuum cleaner is supplied especially for a home that accomodates 10 for a week-we would have loved to vacuum the place. Enjoyed decks, hot tub, quiet location.
