A trip through the largest heath in Denmark, Kallesmærks Hede, to the famous Vejers beach is also recommended. The protected peninsula Skallingen is also a popular tourist attraction. If you want to visit a bigger town, Esbjerg is a good destination with a lot of interesting museums and the longest pedestrian zone in Jutland. You can explore the towns past in the By- og Egnsmuseet or Fiskeri- og Søfartsmuseet which show the old street and town environment and also hold an amber museum. If you are interested in fishing, the Fiskeri- og Søfartsmuseet has a fine collection of fishing tools, ships and vessels. The museum also has an aquarium with fish typical of the North Sea as well as an outdoor tank with seals.
