A great value spacious top floor unit in a 4plex. Floor to ceiling living room window with a spectacular view. A south facing balcony with hot tub and BBQ. Easy ski in & steps away from the free Big White shuttle to get to the village in the evening.
Located in Snow Pine Estates, ski-out access to the ski hill is down Snow Pine Crescent to a green ski run called Serwa?s, that leads to the Snow Ghost, Ridge Rocket and Plaza Chair. (Snow Pine Estates have a policy not to sand the roads so that they can be used by skiers and snowboarders). This will take 5 minutes if the roads are covered in snow, or is an easy 6 minute walk down to the ski run if there is not sufficient snow to ski on the road. Ski-in access is from Serwa?s (a green run from the top of the mountain).
To get to the village center there is a very pretty lit walking path (groomed by snow cats every evening) that will take 15 minutes or you can catch the free Big White shuttle bus. The bus stop is located at the top of Snow Pine Crescent, a few steps away from the front door.
Parking is available for 2 cars. If you have more than 2 cars you will need to park them in the free Snow Pine Estates over-flow car park. From the chalet parking spot, there are a few metal steps which lead down to Arolla?s front door.
Enter into a hallway with slate floor, which then opens up into a spacious loft and the impressive floor to ceiling window with an amazing view of the Monashee Mountains. The first door on the left takes you to the 1st bedroom with queen bed, it also has bedside table and lamp, built in closet, small window looking out towards the ski hill and 11? flat screen TV. Next door is a bathroom with full suite, which includes bath tub and shower. The loft acts as a dormitory with 3 double futons, TV with DVD player and a banister rail looking down into the living room. Stairs lead down to the living room at the foot of the stairs is the door for the balcony with hot tub and BBQ. The lounge is set up around a slate clad gas fire place. It has 1 large comfy couch, 2 arm chairs and 27? TV with DVD player. Dining table is positioned in the far left hand corner with chairs a long bench seat. Kitchen has all basic needs with breakfast bar with 4 chairs; a window near the sinks looks over at the adjacent chalet.
A full bathroom suite with bath tub and shower over head and opposite is the laundry room with stacking dryer and washer. The last room is the 2nd bedroom with 2 sets of single bunks, large walk-in closet and window overlooking adjacent chalet.

Wish chalet had blinds to cut the sun when necessary. Not really much else negative to say. Would rent again. It has the free shuttle bus stop right in front of the door which is a big plus as you use this service frequently to get to and from village center or happy valley. We also loved the hot tub on the balcony which gets checked by maintenance personell every 3 days to ensure perfect water quality. We loved our stay at this chalet and are already planing to come back next year. |
