There are two apartments in the main house for 4 persons with 2 bedrooms and 2 apartments for 2-4 persons with one bedroom and an additional sofa bed in the living room.
Bathroom and balcony or terrace are available in each. Well-behaved pets, especially dogs, are always very welcome. With regard to the allergic among our guests, there is also an apartment that is deliberately kept nonsmoking and pet-free.
Our House
Our former farm and winegrower's house was built in 1868 in beautiful slate typical of our landscape. The outer walls are 60 cm thick! This provides a pleasant climate inside the house - both in summer and winter.
The former bull barn has become a cozy apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, each with shower and toilet, kitchen with all the comforts you are accustomed to at home and a spacious dining room with connecting large terrace overlooking the garden and the banks of the Moselle.
Our garden has over the years adopted a park-like character without sacrificing the natural charm of a huge farmhouse garden. 3000 sqm waterfront land: and from here you have a wonderful view of the river, the passing ships and the vineyards on the other bank of the Moselle. Also the castle "Landshut" can be seen from here. On cooler evenings, you heat up the large cast-iron stove, or a "campfire" and make yourself comfortable. Wood is available.
Behind fragrant roses and tall grass hides the pool that invites you to "turn" a cozy lap all alone at dawn or while watching the kids when they have their fun day here. For younger guests there is a big sandbox with wonderful fine sand and an old tree house with swings and a slide next to the barbecue hut under the cherry tree.
Bernkastel-Kues, the birthplace of Cusanus, is only 1,8km away. Trier, the oldest city in Germany and birthplace of Karl Marx, is only a half hour away, and it's only about 65km to Luxemburg.
Snuggle Weekend
Also a great gift idea! Until next vacation is still a long time - how about a little getaway? You stay in a beautiful apartment right on the banks of the Moselle with stunning views of the river and the lovely landscape of vines. Upon arrival the fire is going in the stove, a bottle of cold Riesling sparkling wine is out, candles on the table - now you just need to "switch off". On Fridays, we invite you to a wine tasting with winemakers Vesper in a romantic small vaulted wine cellar.
Inbetween you can take wonderful walks in the wintry landscape Mosel, wine tasting in the surrounding small villages and learn about the new wine at a good restaurant kitchen on the Moselle.
Arrival is either Thursday or Friday, accordingly departure on Sunday or Monday.
Our offer includes 3 nights. The price covers the following services:
