Las Peyras is part of a building dating back to 1837 which has been renovated to a high standard to provide spacious accommodation for up to 5 persons. With a large garden and west facing terrace, there is a gated entrance to a long private drive, ample off road parking. The property benefits from a private pool with roman steps and the pool area securely fenced. The house offers a rural outlook on the heights of Sourzac with a paddock next often with horses or ponies.

The property is completely private, separated from the other small gite Les Pierres by the old barn and a hedge.

The large garden and pool are for your sole use, however, larger parties can add the other gite to provide accommodation for up to 7 persons.

In a rural setting within a small hamlet the local village is 5 minutes drive and the nearby market town 5 minutes in the opposite direction.

The village of Sourzac on the banks of the River Isle has a magnificent church (ancient Abbey) and a highly recommended restaurant offering excellent food in a unique setting.

For all your other needs the market town of Mussidan has shops, banks, supermarkets, tourist office etc.

INSIDE THE PROPERTY
From the east side of the house, facing the pool, an entrance door opens to a large hall/vestibule, with a double ground floor bedroom off, plus large shower room, separate wc and large cupboard with washing machine.

The hall leads onto the large lounge with vaulted ceiling open to the mezzanine floor and through to the kitchen diner. Two sets of French doors open out onto the west facing terrace overlooking the large lawned garden.

There are garden chairs and table for eating out and a barbecue to enjoy those warm summer evenings.

In one corner of the entrance hall a spiral staircase leads up to the open mezzanine floor with one double and one single bed in a large area under the vaulted roof.

The lounge has seating for five or six with the fully fitted kitchen and dining room off.

The kitchen has an electric cooker, oven and hob, plus extractor hood. There is a small fridge, dishwasher, filter coffee machine and kettle, plus, of course , all the necessary pots and pans, plates and glasses etc.

The lounge has a television receiving the main French national channels and the whole living area benefits from air conditioning.

LATEST REVIEW
Review submitted by Hillary from Baltimore, Maryland (Submitted: 15/07/2010 )

"Spotlessly clean convenient location for our needs comfortable lovely grounds my only recommendation would be a fan to circulate air upstairs in the loft and cool it down also the directions to the property would be clearer if the name of the business across from the turn was specified (Muebles Af-Faires) as the landmark the sign is huge and easy to see from a distance in either direction and the road to the property, while marked, is very small."

Value: Excellent , Met expectations: Exceeded them , Recommend: Definitely , Overall: Excellent
