Landhaus Kunibert-Hain offers undisturbed quiet on a 3000 sq.m. park property at the edge of Markt Berchtesgaden, with a magnificent view, children’s play house, badminton and basketball courts, a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, cable TV, room telephone, internet connection, and much more. Choose from six well-kept, lovingly and completely furnished vacation apartments full of small details creating the intimate atmosphere in which we greet our guests.

Enjoy unspoilt peace and quiet and a great view of the whole mountain range, while living just 10 minutes from the Berchtesgaden city center.

Vacation apartment 3 is a self-contained apartment with its own entrance, living room with sleeper sofa, comfortable live-in kitchen, dishwashing machine, separate bedroom, bathroom, and large covered patio.

All vacation apartments are newly and comfortably furnished and with carpet or, in the case of hallway, kitchen and bathroom, tile floor.

Heating is by electric heating with hot water reservoir.

The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner stove, microwave, baking oven, extractor, fridge, dishwashing machine (in apartments 1, 2 ,3 and 4), sink, and a sufficient amount of dishes and cutlery. Coffee maker, toaster, vacuum and a separate heater/ventilator are also provided.

The living room contains a color TV set (with cable). All beds are 2 m in length, covered with anti-rheumatism duvets and, if wanted, equipped with wedge pillows.

The bathroom contains bathtub with shower, washing basin, toilet and warm water through reservoir.Further Info:
Prices are based on always calculating with additional costs, independent of length of stay, be it 3 days or 3 weeks, as well as independent of season.

     * EUR 9.50, one-time fee, for bed sheets and towels (which will be changed every three days) for children and teenagers
     * Additional guests (after first two!) at EUR 12 per person per day (including bedsheets and towels)
     * Local tourist tax is to be charged at EUR 2.10 per person per day for adults or EUR 1.10 for children from 6-16 years of age. Third child and children under six for free. This tax applies during all the year. In exchange, there are a lot of rebates such as at events, free use of local public buses, etc.
     * Light, hot water and heating are all supplied through electricity – environmentally-friendly. Consumption is charged at cost, according to meter.
     * All prices include applicable VAT (of 7 respective 19%) in Germany.

Landhaus Kunibert-Hain offers undisturbed peace at the edge of Markt Berchtesgaden, on a property of 3000 sq.m., with a great view, children’s play house, badminton and baskedball courts, laundry room with washing machine and dryer, TV with cable connection, room telephone, internet connection – and a lot more yet. Choose one of our five well-kept, lovely and completely furnished vacation apartments. It is the many great details creating the personal and individual atmosphere in which we greet our guests.

In the immediate vicinity is the federal center for sports performance in Nordic disciplines with the new Kälbersteinschanze for summer and winter competitions.

Berchtesgaden and Surroundings:
It only takes a few minutes, on foot or by car, to get from the Berchtesgaden city center to Kälberstein Nr. 44. On the way, you will pass by our large, tranquil park on the sunny South side of the Landhaus Kunibert-Hain.

In the times when Berchtesgaden used to be a local residence, only chosen few were allowed to visit the salt mine. Today, it is open for all visitors wanting to learn more about the “white gold,” its origins and the mining of saline water (Sole). A fascinating world and an adventure for young and old.

Balconies and terraces offer a great view across Berchtesgaden and the twin towers of the Augustine Stiftskirche to the mountain range, from the Watzmann by way of Jenner and Hoher Göll to Obersalzberg and the Untersberg. A magical view that fascinates, whatever the season.

Of course, the large park with its play ground is much more interesting for the children. Let them loose some steam playing badminton and basketball.

So, you have discovered the panorama patio and are planning a hiking tour… but it’s not easy leaving this beautiful place and getting on the way.

The house in the park: our original Bavarian “Kaser.” Vacation that’s intimate, enjoying the peace and quiet of your private terrace, but using the services our house has to offer. This way, you’ll spend holidays for two in our fully equipped Kaser with a view of the park. Small but beautiful, it connects seclusion and privacy with the opportunities afforded by modern technology, e.g. wireless internet connection.

The view from the east side of our house shows the collegiate church and the castle, as well as the spa and congress house of Berchtesgaden, On the left, the skiing area Rossfeld is beckoning. The Kehlsteinhaus, the Hohes Brett and the great skiing area of the Jenner are inviting.

A walk of five minutes gets you to the large, well-maintained wild animal enclosure at Gasthof Oberkälberstein restaurant.

Visit the Königssee, the Ramsau, or the Zauberwald. There are so many destinations for excursions to choose from, choosing can get rather difficult. The salt mine in Bad Reichenhall offers tours of the mine, fascinating not only for children. In the school of Bischofswiesen, you can admire Germany’s longest Alphorn, panorama walk inclusive. With the Jennerbahn, you can get to the nicest panoramic views, also in summer. And the Berchtesgaden national park with deer enclosure and feeding is nice, too.

Pure relaxation. Relax in a saline pool after a strenuous hike, or enjoy the diverse wellness offers in the new Watzmann-Therme spa. If you prefer more excitement, slide down the “Black Hole.”

The Rossfeldstrasse offers views of the alpine landscape of Berchtesgaden and the Salzach valley with the Mozart city Salzburg, located a whole 1000 m deeper. The visitor can expect a full 360-degree view of the mountain massif of the Hoher Göll, Kehlstein, Tennen and Dachstein mountains, Untersberg, Berchtesgaden and Salzburg area. It can be reached easily by car or bus and is a popular track amongst motorbike riders.

The Berchtesgadener Bergbahn GmbH railway company was founded in April 1949; at the same time, construction of the cable car from Markt Berchtesgaden to the intersection Obersalzberg-Scharitzkehl was begun. Go up and/or down the mountain, and enjoy the landscape around Berchtesgaden. A binocular will be worth it. The top station of the Obersalzbergbahn is located at 1020 m above sea level; it is reached in just 12 minutes.

The collegiate church St. Peter and the church St. Johannes in Berchtesgaden war built by the Augustine Chorherren. It is a Gothic long-house with three naves. The early Gothic high choir, built between 1283 and 1303, is particularly worth seeing. The towers were newly built in 1866, after lightning struck. The marble funeral places of the lord bishops of the 15. th to 19.th century in the inside of the church are also well-worth a visit.

The Jenner with its 1874 m altitude is the main skiing mountain of the region. Its top offers a nice view of the East face of the Watzmann, dropping off 2000 m, and the Königssee. The Jennerbahn, a gondola, has been transporting hikers and skiers from Schönau am Königsssee in 20 minutes to the top plateau. From there, there is a hiking path to the very top in summer, from which one can continue on to the Schneibstein house or to the steel house.

Free bus rides with the RVO:

Since December 1., 2008, people in possession of a “Kurkarte” of the tourism region Berchtesgaden-Königssee travel on the busses of the Regionalverkehr Oberbayern for free. This offer applies to all lines in the inner Landkreis Berchtesgadener Land, except for Kehlstein line, LM-Erlebnisbus, Berchtesgaden-Salzburg, Rossfeld [Maut] and the “Nachtschwärmer” [for which special tariffs apply].
