2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Penthouse Suite with private rooftop terrace right on the ocean with the most spectacular ocean and beach views of Bavaro! Perfect place for a romantic getaway or family & friends reunion. Very comfortable and elegantly decorated. Sleeps 6 adults or 4 adults and 4 kids.

Free beach access to enjoy the soft white sandy beaches and turquoise waters of Bavaro beach, Flor del Mar is centrally located. A short walk in either direction along the beach will give you access to a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. Walking along the street, you will find many amenities such as a variety of restaurants, ATM?s, bakery, grocery stores, drug stores, liquor stores, etc. A five minute cab ride will take you to the luxury Palma Real Shopping Center featuring the Hard Rock Café, movie theatres with movies showing in original version so mainly English and a large selection of high end shops and boutiques and Super Lama, a big supermarket. A ten minute cab ride will take you to the newly built San Juan shopping center with another large supermarket Super Pola, Ikea, Chef Pepper, and a variety of other businesses. A variety of world class golf courses are also a short cab ride away. An English speaking transfer service is available upon request.

TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM AIRPORT:

? If you need transportation to your rental property, we can send a trusted driver with a van to pick you up.

? The rate is US $35 one way for 4 passengers. There is room for up to 6 passengers with suitcases per taxi. US$5 extra per passenger.

? You pay the driver directly and keep his number for future transportation needs during your stay.

ELECTRICITY IS EXTRA AND BASED ON CONSUMPTION:

? The Dominican Republic is a developing country and it has it's challenges in regards to cost effective electricity distribution. Therefore, to encourage renters to conserve electricity during their stay, they will be responsible for electricity charges during their stay.

? We collect an ELECTRICITY DEPOSIT IN CASH UPON ARRIVAL. It is just a DEPOSIT, real consumption calculated at the end of your stay and deducted from the CASH DEPOSIT PAID UPON ARRIVAL. See deposit requirements below.

? Normal consumption is $5-10 per day for a 1 & 2 bedroom, $10-$15 per day for a 3 & 4 bedroom and $25-$30 for Villas in Cocotal Golf.

RENTALS LESS THAN 30 DAYS: We require an ELECTRICITY DEPOSIT (CASH ONLY-UPON ARRIVAL) of US$20 PER NIGHT for 1 & 2 BDR's CONDOS, US$30 PER NIGHT for 3 & 4 BDR's CONDOS and US$50 PER NIGHT for VILLAS in COCOTAL GOLF.

The electricity meter will be read at check-in and check out. The meter can be self monitored daily. You will be charged at the current rate and deducted from the cash deposit.

Ocean breezes and the rustling palms!

We stayed at this condo while the rest of our family were at an all-inclusive resort. We don't drink and didn't want to pay the outrageous all-inclusive prices that we knew would never get our money's worth from. This was the perfect choice! We'd do it over and over again. We visited the resort one day, and sure, it was heaven on earth beautiful, but we wanted a more real, mix with the locals, experience. This condo is perfectly situated in a community of 'locals', either ex-pats who've moved to DR, or snow birds living there party of the year. Everyone was so friendly and we were directed to local supermarkets, restaurants and bakeries away from the tourist buzz. Perfect!

Gorgeous Views of the Ocean!!

We recently stayed at Flor del Mar, unit 402 and had a great time. The view from the condo is beautiful - the beach is seen from every window in the place. The unit was very clean and our family of four had more than enough room. The only negatives to the place were that there is very little water pressure in the showers (and sometimes you have to stand there and wait for any water to come out.) We left all the windows open and had a great breeze from the ocean (no A/C needed), but there are no screens on the windows so we did have a few flies to deal with, but not too bad. The location is great; walk out the door and you're on the beach, walk 5-10 minutes to some great restaurants (our favorites were Balicana, Pastrata,and Nam Nam). Overall, a wonderful experience and the view is unbelievably gorgeous.

I will start with the Pros:- The condo/apartment is in the center of everything. It is really the perfect location for activities, shopping, and restaurants.- The condo was right on the beach- There were no bugs or vermin in the apartment Cons:-It was not as clean as I would have liked. When we arrived, I cleaned both restrooms because there was urine on the toilets and grit in the sink. The couches were not very clean either-This is a third world county, so things like hot water and some times any water were not always available. We did not have hot water for showers through our entire stay, but truly it was not an issue because when you come back from the beach a cool shower felt good. What was more of an issue was when there was no water for showers. I am not sure what would happen, but the water would stop running half way through your shower and you would have to wait a few minutes and it would come back on again. - The music can be very loud, Hurricane which is virtually next door had two nights where they played techno music very loud until 7:00am. Punta Cana in general: There are somewhat relentless vendors on the beach that would try and connect with you then ask you to come to their shop or do an activity. Additionally, there was a ton of seaweed on the beach. It would come in from the ocean and would get piled up on the beach. Obviously, it can't be helped, but it sort of spoiled the beauty of the beach. We drove to Macao beach and spent the day, and it was probably our most favorite day.

The location and views are the best in Bavaro. That is one of the reasons for this condo being our most popular. We do have a full time cleaning staff which we understand could've done a better job cleaning your condo. During peak holiday season when we have back to back clients, it becomes more difficult and they might miss something; however, we are just a phone/email away from fixing the situation. If you would've informed us the condo had not been properly cleaned, we would've sent out cleaning staff to address the situation.

In terms of water pressure and hot water, we are in the process of installing a new water pump that will provide the right water pressure which in turn will fix the water heater issue. Once we have the appropriate water pressure, then the water heater will work correctly.

In terms of music from local restaurants- bars being too loud, that is something that usually only happens during holidays like Xmas, New Years and Easter. The rest of the year is normal and not long parties. Only on holidays when most are visiting and looking for parties.

In terms of the vendors - all you have to say to them is YO VIVO AQUI (I Live Here), that will drive them away quickly and since you are not wearing a hotel ALL INCLUSIVE BRACELET, they will leave you alone.

Seaweed - Mother nature working at cleaning the beaches. Out of our control even though there is staff cleaning up the sea weed that washes ashore everyday. This is temporary and seaweed issues comes and goes throughout the year.

our overall experience was fantastic. The rental is in a great location, and has a breathtaking view. The rooftop deck is absolutely superb and is one of the highest points around so you can really get a 360 view. It's not too busy, nor extremely touristy, which was a huge plus for us. We were too keen to be surrounded by a bunch of resort people and stuck in one place. this gave us the opportunity to go out and explore the different restaurants and stores that Bavarro has to offer. A tip of advice, however, is that some working knowledge of Spanish is definitely required. Although many of the shop owners and some waiters speak English well enough to get buy, going in 100% cold with no ability to speak the language would limit the experience for sure. The people are very friendly especially if you speak their language. Another thing to keep in mind is the water quality is not potable. In other words, it needs to be treated or boiled (we did both), before drinking, cooking, washing dishes, brushing teeth etc. It may be a minor inconvenience, but failing to do so could make you very sick. Overall, it was a great time and place. Weather was great low to mid 80s nearly everyday; It was quite windy, and the water was a bit cold, but that was just our week in December. You will not be disappointed with this property. The staff is great and very accommodating, sending managers over as soon as they could when we had a small problem. They fixed it accordingly and we had no other issues the rest of the trip. We also felt very safe there. We didn't have any issues with thieves or anything of that matter, although we didn't venture out much after dark. There were security guards at the location patrolling. Go here and it will be a worry free, lovely sit on/near the beach vacation as you want!

Over all we had a great vacation. There was a problem with water heater but management quickly changed the heater.Unit was clean we were just at the beach restaurant at the beach had excellentFood and drinks.

Flor del Mar is the Prefect get away in Punta Cana. In Los Corales beach, the sand is only at the bottom of the stairs. The property is immaculate. All modern furnishing. All dishes and silver ware that you may need. The property has an awesome view of the ocean that can be seen from all living areas. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and just gazing at the ocean. The property was clean, however, the sink appears dated and does not match the rest of the modern apartment. Both rooms were a good size and the master has awesome views of the city and ocean. The unit also has a large party deck upstairs which is the size of the property itself, and has an even better vies of the ocean. Great for pictures. Several restaurants with the best sea food ever are within a 1 minute walk on the beach. Several other high end restaurants are about a five minute walk near Danny's Sport bar. We were picked up from the airport with no problem. Our driver took us to the grocery store. Anne checked us in, and she was wonderful. The other occupants are really nice people. It appears to be a mix of Dominicans and Europeans that occupy the other units. The complex is a small property near Stanza Mar or Playa Turquesa. One issue is the stairs to the property. It is on the third floor and there is no elevator. You do need to be in good physical condition to navigate the stairs. Overall, the property was near perfect. I would have rated everything a five but the Kitchen sink just left a bad impression for me. Security Franklin Segura and Jose were awesome. I cant wait to return. Had so much fun.

Even if the management is good and the location perfect, it is too noisy and smelly. If this is your first experience and you are OK with loud music from friday to sunday, including the saturday all night long disco not far from the condo, you can go. There is so many family on beach and condo nearby,(lot of italians with kids). There is also a persistant odor in the kitchen if you open doors from under the sink, it is unbearable. This a place for family or people who have not travel a lot, so they do not have references to compare

Flor del Mar was just as beautiful as the photos we saw on line. What we didn't know was just how fantastic the location and the view of the beach from the unit really were. An added bonus was the rooftop terrace. The unit and beach area were clean & well maintained. We enjoyed the short walk to many restaurants, bars, a great bakery & grocery stores. We appreciated the fact that we really did not need to rent a car. Anny, from the rental agency, was very efficient & helpful with answers & suggestions to enhance our DR experience. Through El Tour Caribe, we enjoyed a snorkeling trip & a Dune Buggy excursion. One bit of advice concerning a visit to this beautiful area is to be aware that credit card use is not widely available and that ATM machines are rather scarce. The US dollar is readily accepted. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who desires a great beach vacation in the Dominican Republic.
