Not ski in-ski out A guest from Celina, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2013 House was nice. Clean. Needed a little maintenance like toilets and there was window casement drip above kitchen sink when it snowed/rained. It was definitely not ski in and out. The house is not on a ski trail but on open area called Texas Flats, a ski patrol told us. You can get to Heading Home trail but you have to go quite a ways which was impossible for one of our older guests. He had to drive to the base to catch a lift. This was pretty much a ski in, ski out property. Walk out the back door, walk about 40 yards and you are right on the "Headed Home" trail. The property is quite a ways up the mountain and while the roads were okay, you definitely need to be mindful of the weather conditions. The winding roads, and many turns made it challenging to find, however, the detailed directions Sherwin gave us took us there the first time. My granddaughter pointed out the "horses" in the front yard, and I saw my very first bear in the wild! My grandchildren got a kick out of seeing the wild animals. The only complaint - we ran out of toilet paper. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and I plan on telling others about it, and using your company again in the future.
