Tahoe Alpine Inn Gary R. from Scottsdale, Arizona does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2013 Home was going to be a first class property if it had ever been finished. dozens of light bulbs missing or burned out ,non -live wall outlets, non functioning trash compactor ,two non matching wine glasses, non functional tvs in bedrooms, propaneless deck heater, broken window blinds, raw junction boxes exposed, light switches and reostats that don't work and probably never did, and biggest of all, outdoor hot tub full of ice and snow, non-functional. Website on VRBO certainly DOES promise hot tub, contrary to Jeren's claim. This is the second amenity I look for in a Ski vacation house, right after bedrooms. We were sorely disappointed with this false claim.All nine of my people felt cheated and think money should be refunded. Great location A guest from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 This vacation rental was really nice, although it was lacking a few items that needed maintenance (jucuzzi in master suite wasnt working, the master shower worked for a few days and needed maintenance after, the vent for the oven wasnt working 100%, the exterior free-standing heater on the deck was out of propane). I emailed the management company a few times regarding questions I had and I never heard back from them, although they did respond to the more important items. This property is also tricky because it can show up as Stateline, NV or Gardnerville depending on which navigation/map you use. All in all a great stay, although there is room for improvement. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 Although we experienced many problems, the management company continued to try and resolve them. However, it is obvious that there isn't the money available to solve some of the problems. The house is really spectacular, but they need to invest some money to fix pending problems. Wow, Reccomended ++++ nick b. from Sacramento, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 What a great place for a family retreat! We enjoyed this house so much and all that it had to offer. The spacious kitchen (2 sinks, 2 dishwashers (older fridge though), big counters, huge formal dining table, lots of cookware, etc), family room, and dining room were the majority of where we spent our time and it was never crowded; everyone loved it as this house accommodates if you wish privacy or if whole group is gathered together. The decor and atmosphere of the house was very enjoyable and we are very happy with our weekend well spent. All the beds are comfy, bedrooms being on lower and topper levels are just very convenient. Decks are spacious and with weather being as nice as last weekend what else you would ask for. Since it was law season, we appreciated the price in comparison of what it would cost in summer or prime winter for such a house. Pictures of the house well show the luxury of the property.The only set back was the hot tub outside on the deck didn?t work as we were counting on using, and were not notified of it until we made a call to the office and they informed us of being in process waiting for parts. Fireplace is gas, so not as cozy as it would be for wood, but it?s very clean around as floor is upscale class. But as we shifted our expectations, house is a must experience.
