Wolf Lake Lake Getaways
Wolf Lake, in Adams County, Wisconsin is one of the main attractions of the Bong State Recreation Area. When guests come to Wolf Lake they will immediately feel welcome with a trip to the area's visitor center. There is also a total of 41 miles of trails in the recreation area, including a 3.7 mile trail that makes a loop around the lake.
Those looking to boat can get into the water via the boat ramp, but must remember that only electric motor boats are allowed on Wolf Lake. Other features include a swimming beach, a fishing pier, and a smaller pond that is stocked with trout. Fish found in the lake include bluegill, brook trout, largemouth bass, and northern pike. For those looking to come to Wolf Lake in the winter months there are a variety of activities. Visitors can try their hand at ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and even sled dog training. If you get a bit chilly you can always take a break in the area's complimentary warming house before you're ready to venture back out into the winter wonderland.
