Lake Kegonsa Lake Getaways

Lake Kegonsa State Park encompasses 342 acres of land accentuated by 3,209 acres of water. Once inhabited by the ancient Effigy Mound Builders, evidence of their efforts are still visible along the White Oak Nature Trail. Wildlife habitats at the park vary from white oak woodlands to prairie restoration to pine plantation including virgin timber.

Recreations enjoyed at Lake Kegonsa State Park include boating, fishing, swimming, waterskiing, camping, group camping, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
