Pineview Reservoir Lake Getaways
The region of Utah east and north of the Great Salt Lake is known as the Wasatch Front, and among the features of this region is the Pineview Reservoir, created by the Pineview Dam. Located just east of Ogden, Utah, Pineview Reservoir is an easily-accessible, safe, clean, and fun place to have a getaway. In addition to providing power for the surrounding areas, Pineview Reservoir is also a great vacation spot, with panoramic mountain vistas, expansive, lush forests, and sandy beach areas.
Situated 10 miles east of Ogden, at the 4,900-foot elevation with a 2,870-acre surface area. Managed recreation season is May through October. Heavy use during the summer. Preferred activities include picnicking, camping, and motorized boating. Available species include crappie, bluegill, sunfish, and catfish. All-weather access from State Rd. 39. Fees are charged.
