Fayette Lake Lake Getaways

Fayette Lake is in Central Texas, 10 miles east of La Grange. Fayette Lake is a 2400 acre reservoir and is approximately an hour and a half away from Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. The lake is known for its great bass fishing. There are two parks along Fayette Lake. The smaller of the two, Park Prairie Park, is 14 acres and offers a fishing pier and picnic areas. There is also a swimming area, as well as boat docks and ramps. The larger park, 85 acre Oak Thicket Park, has a pavilion for large groups and a playground. There are also boat ramps, a sandy beach, and a fishing pier. A trail connects the parks, which both also feature camping facilities. Both parks can be entered for one small fee.
