Blue Mountain is located 75 miles northwest of Philadelphia and is a little over an hour drive. This ski and snowboard area makes the most of the 1600-foot mountain it sits on, squeezing out 1082 feet of vertical terrain making it most in the state by 10 feet. 30 trails and 10 lifts are offered, 100% of which is lighted for night skiing. You can make frequent top-to-bottom laps thanks to the hi-speed 6-pack chairlift and hi-speed detachable quad. Already excellent snowmaking continues to be improved, most recently with a new 1250 hp air compressor and an increased water supply. They are also working on a couple of new trails slated to open in the 2008-2009 season.

Blue Mountain is known for having some of the most varied terrain around from beginner to double diamond making this a great place to visit for skiers and riders of all ability levels.

The novice to intermediate in your group should check out Burma Road, Lazy Mile, and the over a mile long cruising trail, Paradise. If you are an expert, you will find that the trails marked with a black or double-black diamond turn out to be steeper than when viewed as you approach the mountain. Try the 5000' long double black diamond trail, Challenge. Or make a run down Razor's Edge, a 3,000' double black diamond trail with its own automated snowmaking system which has become the most popular run for advanced skiers and riders.

A 300 foot half-pipe and two terrain parks provide plenty of challenge for freestyle riders. Sidewinder Park has been revamped with all new rails, jumps, bumps and grinds aplenty! The Terrain Run is designed with the beginning freestyle rider in mind with a number of rails, boxes and table-tops perfect for to learn on. Down at the base of the mountain is the tubing complex, which offers lift access to 14 1000-foot-long tubes.
