Cayuga Lake Lake Getaways
At 40 miles in length, Cayuga Lake is the longest of the eleven Finger Lakes of western New York, an area known for its many wineries. Boating on Cayuga Lake is very popular, but if you don't feel like manning the ship, you can go for a lake cruise. The lake is also host to the annual Cayuga Lake Triathlon.
Cayuga Lake State Park rests on the northwest shores of one of the largest lakes within the Finger Lakes region, Cayuga Lake. The park offers a long list of amenities which offer year-round availability. Anglers enjoy catching largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, landlocked salmon, rainbow trout and brown trout. Camping and fishing are the main attractions at Cayuga Lake State Park. The park offers a boat launch site which opens up the opportunity for a variety of water sports from windsurfing to trophy fishing. Camping, a nature trail, children's playground, picnic grove and swimming beach are offered as well. Two miles of cross-country trails are available during the winter months.
