Lake Blaine Lake Getaways
Located in northwestern Montana, Lake Blaine is a private deep-water lake just about 15 miles east of Kalispell. A town of only 15,000, Kalispell is the hub of Flathead County, which is known worldwide for Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park. Named for the hundred or so glaciers that have been counted in the park over the last century, Glacier National Park is home to two mountain ranges, over 130 named lakes, and thousands of species of plants and animals. The sheer immensity of the National Park's features is breathtaking, and just a simple hike through any of the regions is sure to be a lifelong memory.
Lake Blaine is in a very quiet, peaceful location, with a view of the Swan Mountain Range visible at all times. Just minutes away is the Great Bear Wilderness Area, one of the largest areas of its kind in the United States. For some thrills in the wintertime, check out the downhill skiing at Big Mountain and Blacktail Ski Resorts. In the summer, expect to find mild temperatures that are relatively warm considering Lake Blaine's proximity to the Canadian border. There are also several golf courses available in case you'd like to hit the links while staying in your comfortable vacation home rental.
