Sauk Lake Lake Getaways

Known to have a reputation of being of the best fishing lakes in the area, the year round fising that takes place is heavy on the lake. The maximum water depth is close to 60 feet and the clarity if approximately 3 feet because of the murkiness in the water. Access to the lake includes a city owned fishing pier within the City of Sauk Centre; an informal access on the highway (highway 71); a public access at the northeast end of the lake; and a final access point on the northeast of the Highway 71 bridge. Surrounding the lake are 8 resorts which fishers and guests can stay in. Some fish species include Bullhead, Dogfish, Carp, Sunfish, Bass, Northern Pike, Tullibee, Walleye, Sucker and Perch.
