Shanty Creek Ski Getaways

Shanty Creek Resorts is a four-season resort offering 49 downhill skiing slopes on two mountains, two terrain parks, 30 km of Nordic ski trails, snowboarding and tubing runs. Located on 4,500 acres 30 miles northeast of Traverse City, Michigan, Shanty Creek boasts over 600 lodging accommodations at three distinct villages (Summit, Schuss and Cedar River), award-winning dining, live entertainment and a full-service conference and banquet center. Shanty Creek Resorts offer 49 slopes, comprised of two mountains - Summit and Schuss Mountains.

Summit Mountain is a family-friendly mountain with 12 runs, most of which consist of beginner to intermediate runs. The slopes are easily accessible from the Summit Main Lodge, which sits at the top of the mountain. One of the more difficult runs at Summit Mountain is White Downs, which offers spectacular views of Shanty Creek's rolling countryside and the nature that encompasses it. Summit also features Greenway Tubing Park, which is fun for kids of all ages!

Schuss Mountain is a more versatile skiing location, with slopes for every ability level. Those looking for a challenge can cruise down the face of Schuss (with a 450 foot vertical) on Kingdom Come or the Pink Schussycat and head into Ivan's for some great food, fun and entertainment. For some mogul action, check out Goosebumps, also located on the face. Schuss Mountain is sure to get your blood pumping with our halfpipe and newly redesigned terrain park, just off of Purple Daze.
