Indianhead Ski Getaways
Over 200 inches of natural snow - and that's just the beginning. Indianhead is a distinctive resort with its "base" lodge on top of the ski hill where you'll find the lodge with newly remodeled rooms, Summit Center, condos and all the amenities plus the new Sky Bar overlooking the slopes from the day lodge.
Located in Michigan's Western Upper Peninsula, Indianhead is known for the quantity and quality of its snow and skiable terrain. Their runs are some of the widest and longest slopes in the Midwest. Combined with impressive vertical, you're almost guaranteed to have a great ski experience.
The quality of the experience extends to all aspects of a ski vacation.
Indianhead always has been known for its long, rambling green and blue cruisers, long boulevard-like runs that cut a wide swath from top to bottom. With its big vertical drop of 638 feet, you can pack a lot of skiing and boarding into a day on the slopes. Indianhead offers over 200 acres and 28 runs of skiing including a trio of black-diamond runs, Leelinaw, FIS, and Winnebago; with their series of drops and headwalls at the bottom they provide expert skiers and riders with a stiff challenge. When the bumps form, the bottom portion of these runs can get pretty gnarly. Indianhead also is home to the "Big Chief" Terrain Park and half-pipe.
