Located near the Georgia/South Carolina border, Savannah holds the distinction of being Georgia's first city and America's first planned city. The two and a half mile Historic District, is a National Landmark rich with the beautiful architecture of years gone by. Some of the city's other claims to fame include that it was the setting for the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the birthplace of Girl Scouts of America founder Juliette Gordon Low, the childhood home of author Flannery O'Connor, the Savannah History Museum, the Fort Pulaski National Monument, and the Ralph Mark Gilberts Civil Rights Museum.

Other popular Savannah activities include fishing, water sports, sightseeing tours, and visiting the many restaurants, bars, shops, and spas in the city. With multiple festivals each month, no matter what time of year you visit Savannah, there is always something going on! A few of the events include the Savannah Music Festival in March, the Savannah Shakespeare Festival in May, the Seafood and Music Festival in August, and the Holiday Tour of Homes in December.
