Sugar Bowl Ski Getaways

ski getaways

Sugar Bowl got its start in 1938 with the backing of, among others, Walt Disney himself. Since then, this family owned mountain has grown into a full-fledged resort with over 1,500 acres of terrain, 84 runs and a 1,500 foot vertical drop. It averages over 40 feet of snow per year which means you'll find plenty of powder in all but the driest of winters. Dining and lodging on-site make Sugar Bowl a true destination resort.

The terrain at Sugar bowl is well balanced so there is something for everyone. Beginners have the fewest options as only 17% of the terrain is rated green however there are some intermediate runs that the typical advanced-beginner should be able to master without too much difficulty. Speaking of which, Sugar Bowl is the mid-ability skier or rider's dream with something off of every lift which essentially opens up the entire mountain to them. The advanced and experts in the group will be happy as well with plenty of steeps, glades and bumps to be found. Freeriders will want to take advantage of the professionally designed terrain park, with features for all ability levels, located off the Mt. Judah Express and the Superpipe near the base of the Mt. Lincoln Express.
