Mammoth Lakes Getaway Information
Come find the perfect Mammoth Lakes vacation home rentals. Surrounded by mountains, Mammoth Lakes is in Mono County. Mammoth Lakes calls itself "California's Premier Mountains Resort" and with so much to do, it's easy to see why.
Located at the heart of the Inyo National Forest, Mammoth Ranger District is centered on the town of Mammoth Lakes. A multitude of recreation locations can be reached within a ten-mile drive of Mammoth Lakes. A ranger station, visitor center, and RV park lie just outside of the town. Opportunities for backpacking, camping, stock packing, boat launching, water play, and winter sports lie in the vicinity. The John Muir Wilderness can also be accessed from this Ranger District.
Recreation opportunities in the Mammoth include but are not limited to boat launching, water play, and winter sports. All lie within an easy drive of the town of Mammoth Lakes.
