Washington state lake houses are great for a trip to the Pacific Northwest. What better way to experience the Pacific Northwest than by staying in a Washington vacation home rental? Few states can match the natural beauty of Washington. From sheltered islands to sandy and coastal beaches to sun-baked lakes and lava flows east of the Cascade Mountains, Washington has something for everyone. Washington State also has a great ski community. Bellingham, hosts the annual Ski to Sea Race, a relay race made up of seven legs. Mount Baker ski area, in Washington, holds the world record for the greatest amount of snowfall in one season. Skiers from around the globe visit Washington's Cascade Mountains to take on the epic runs and enjoy the world-class resorts.
